At BrightPath Books, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This policy applies to any purchases made through bright-pathbooks.com.
14-Day Return Period
You may request a return within 14 days of the date your order is delivered.
To qualify for a change-of-mind return, the workbook must:
- Be unused, unwritten in and undamaged
- Be in its original condition and packaging
- Include all inserts, accessories and accompanying materials
- Be accompanied by your order number or other proof of purchase
Workbooks that have been written in, completed, marked, stained, torn or otherwise used cannot be returned for change-of-mind reasons.
How to Request a Return
Before returning your order, contact us through info@bright-pathbooks.com and provide:
- Your full name
- Your order number
- The reason for the return
- Photographs of the product, where it is damaged, defective or incorrect
Returns sent without contacting us first may not be accepted.
Once your return request is approved, we will provide instructions for returning the product. The returned item must be posted within the timeframe stated in our return instructions.
Change-of-Mind Returns
For approved change-of-mind returns:
- The customer is responsible for return postage costs
- Original shipping charges are not refundable
- We recommend using a tracked shipping service
- BrightPath Books is not responsible for returned parcels that are lost or damaged during return delivery
Australian consumer guarantees do not generally require businesses to provide a refund where a customer simply changes their mind. However, when a business offers a change-of-mind policy, it must follow that policy.
Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.
Contact us promptly if your workbook:
- Arrives damaged
- Contains a printing or manufacturing defect
- Is substantially different from its product description
- Is not the product you ordered
Please provide clear photographs of the product and its packaging so we can assess the issue.
Where the product is confirmed to be damaged, defective or incorrect, we may offer an appropriate remedy, including a replacement or refund. BrightPath Books will cover reasonable return shipping costs where a return is required because of our error or a product fault.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Consumer guarantees may continue to apply regardless of the return period stated in this policy.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear after it has been processed. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
BrightPath Books may deduct any loss in value caused by unnecessary handling or damage where permitted by law. Returns that do not meet the eligibility requirements may be declined and returned to the customer.
Exchanges
We do not generally offer direct exchanges for change-of-mind returns. You may return an eligible product for a refund and place a new order for the product you would prefer.
Where an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, we may offer a replacement where appropriate.
Proof of Purchase
We may request your order confirmation, receipt, bank statement or another reasonable form of proof of purchase before approving a return, replacement or refund. Under Australian Consumer Law, proof of purchase does not always need to be the original receipt.
Order Cancellations
Orders may only be cancelled before they have been processed or dispatched.
Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. You may request a return after delivery in accordance with this policy.
Returned-to-Sender Orders
Orders returned to us because of an incorrect or incomplete delivery address, failure to collect the parcel or refusal of delivery may be refunded after the parcel is received and inspected.
Original shipping fees and any additional return-to-sender charges may be deducted from the refund unless the return occurred because of an error by BrightPath Books.
